New Unique Unit: Ambaxtos
Replaces Courser. Receives double bonuses from Great General. While receiving these bonuses, receives +50% combat experience from battles this unit initiated (stacks with Suzerain bonus of Kabul).
Provides 50 Production to the nearest Gallic city upon promotion.
New Unique Unit: Karbantos
Replaces Heavy Chariot. Lower Production cost (45 vs. 65). Higher Sight (3 vs. 2).
Does not suffer Sight penalty in Woods or Rainforests.
New Unique Building: Metalsmith
Replaces Market. Doesn't provide Gold by default. Instead, provides +1 Gold per turn from every 2 Mines worked by Citizen in this city (can't be boosted by Free Market policy card).
Grants +1 Production per turn to every Mine adjacent to the Commercial Hub with this building.
New Unique Building: Nemeton
Replaces Grove. +1 Appeal to adjacent tiles.
Grants +1 Faith to adjacent unimproved Wood tiles with Charming Appeal. This bonus doubles for Breathtaking Appeal.
Unimproved Wood tiles adjacent to this building provides Tourism equal to its Faith output (with Flight).
Historically, the Gauls were renowned for their cavalry, especially for light cavalry. Thus, in this design, they received two cavalry units. The first of them is Karbantos. It can't say that this is a powerful unit, but it's much cheaper than Heavy Chariot and has better Sight that isn't blocked by Woods or Rainforests. If you plan to launch Gaesatae rush, create two or three of this unit and use them as scouts to help your Gaesati form a better formation.
Ambaxtos might not appear to be very shining. Especially, at least one Great General is required to use this unit right. But with the General, this unit enjoys powerful bonuses and earns promotions even faster. Also, upon earning the promotion, it will refund 25% of its Production cost.
The Roman writers mocked the Gauls as barbarians, but they were expert metalsmiths. Metalsmith provides ample Gold and Production from nearby Mines, and if you intentionally selected to play the Gauls, you would know that mine is essential. Just keep in mind that this building can provide more Gold later in the game but doesn't provide default Gold.
Mine is essential to the Gauls, as previously said. But if you aim for a Cultural Victory, it may be wise not to construct it all over the place. Nemeton requires tiles with Charming Appeal to do its work, but it provides Faith and Tourism —two necessary yields for cultural victory. If it's hard to give up Mines early in the game, you can demolish them and use this building later because this building doesn't care if the Wood is old-growth or second-growth.
Under the guidance of mystic druids, the Gauls will boast outstanding metalworking if you wisely use their new Unique Components in Sid Meier's Civilization VI.
New Unique Unit: Metsikhovne
Anti-Cavalry unit of the Classical Era. Unlocked by Defensive Tactics. 90 Production cost, 360 Gold cost, 2 Gold maintenance cost, 2 Movement, 35 Melee Combat Strength, 2 Sight. Upgrades to Pikeman.
Receives one free Promotion when first trained or purchased in a city with Ancient Walls.
When garrisoned in the City Center, grants +50% Production while constructing Ancient Walls in the city.
New Unique Unit: Monaspa
Replaces Knight. May be purchased with Faith. Faith purchasing cost of this unit is halved.
Receive +"The Level of Walls of the City X 4" Melee Combat Strength when occupying the City Center or on a tile adjacent to the City Center. This bonus falls off by 4 as this unit gets further away from the City Center (not just Georgian city, but the city belonging to the enemy also provides a Melee Combat Strength bonus).
New Unique District: Svan Tower
Replaces Aqueduct. Unlocked by Construction instead of Engineering. Doesn't need to be built adjacent to the City Center and a source of fresh water, but must be built on Hills and cannot be built next to the City Center.
Provides +3 Housing, regardless of fresh water.
Provides +3 Faith per turn.
Provides +3 Tourism per turn (with Flight).
Units occupying the tile with this District or its adjacent tile provide Faith of 50% of the enemy unit's Combat Strength upon killing it (stacks with Tamar's Leader Bonus).
Acquires Outer Defenses and Ranged Strike along with the City Center once Walls have been built.
New Unique Tile Improvement: Darbazi
Unlocked by Buttress. Must be built on Hills.
Provides +1 Housing.
Provides +1 Food and Production per each Golden Age or Heroic Age entered from the start of the game, but provides -1 Food and Production per each Normal Age or Dark Age entered. Doesn't reduce the tile's base yield.
Religion and Defense. In Civ 6, these are the terms that characterize Georgia. And it received some more Unique Components that fit these terms. Metsikhove isn't that special, except it's a standalone unit, but when paired with the Limes card, which is also unlocked by Defensive Tactics, Ancient Walls will rise in lightspeed. Additionally, the recently created Metsikhove will get a free promotion following that.
It's appropriate to call Svan Tower "unique." First, despite replacing Aqueduct, it can built on any land tiles as long as it is Hills. Second, units around this District provide Faith upon killing the enemy. With this bonus and Tamar's Leader Bonus, you can amass much Faith from the early stage of the game. Lastly, this District provides Faith and Tourism by itself.
Georgia can create Monaspa in the Middle Ages by production, gold, or—most importantly—faith. This unit's Combat Strength bonus around walls makes it a good fit with Georgian Civ Ability. But you can employ this unit for more than defense since these walls don't have to be Georgian.
Oh, and did I mention that the Golden Age is also an essential concept to Georgia? It's now even more critical because of Darbazi. It provides Food and Production, and even more so with the onset of each Golden or Heroic Age. However, it also incurs a penalty for entering Normal or Dark Age, so proceed with caution to avoid entering Normal Age and only enter the Dark Age if you can accomplish something more noteworthy than the yield reductions from this tile improvement.
With the blessing of Saint George, Georgia will continue to be the bastion of faith for a long time if you wisely use its new Unique Components in Sid Meier's Civilization VI.
New Unique Unit: Landsknecht
Replaces Pike and Shot. Unlocked by Mercenaries instead of Metal Casting. Lower Production cost (220 vs. 250).
Pays only 1 Movement to pillage. Provides additional Gold for pillaging tile improvements or Districts.
If this unit captures a city or is adjacent to the city when it is captured, provides "Number of Citizens right before conquering X 20" Gold. This bonus does not stack if more than 2 Landsknechts meet the condition to the same city.
New Unique Unit: Potsdam Giant
Replaces Line Infantry. Higher Melee Combat Strength (70 vs. 65).
Receives +10 Melee Combat Strength when attacking.
The enemy unit can't retaliate against this unit's attack when this unit is adjacent to at least one other Potsdam Giant.
New Unique District: Ordensburg
Replaces Encampment. Receive a Builder for free upon constructing this District.
Building this District triggers a Culture Bomb, claiming surrounding tiles.
Provides Faith per each kind of adjacent tile improvement.
New Unique Tile Improvement: Gymnasium
Unlocked by Scientific Theory. Can be built on any land tile other than Mountains. Must be built on a tile adjacent to the Campus. Limited to 1 per city.
Provides +1 Great Scientist point per turn.
Provides +3 Science per turn for each building in the adjacent Campus.
Even though Germany is already a mighty civilization, one of its shortcomings is that it lacks a useful Unique Unit because U-Boat is frequently not very useful. Germany now has two beneficial Unique Units. As shown in Civ 5, Landsknecht is an expert at pillaging and is cheaper than its equivalent. It even unlocked earlier, and there is no picky requirement like adopting a certain Policy, of course.
When attacking, Potsdam Giant gains a huge Combat Strength bonus, and when combined with the base Combat Strength bonus, this unit becomes sufficiently appealing. Furthermore, this unit can unilaterally attack the enemy as if it made a Ranged attack.
Ordensburg was given for fuel more to the German war machine. It provides two one-time bonuses and one ongoing bonus. To maximize the Faith bonus, obtaining the Suzerain bonus of City-State that provides unique tile improvement may be considered. Remember, you don't have to conquer every City-State you have met, even if you're playing with Frederick Barbarossa.
Although never featured in the Civilization series, Germany has a rich history in various studies, including philosophy. Gymnasium provides nothing but Science and Great Scientist points, but both will be sweet.
The Germans will lead the world with wisdom and diligence if you wisely use their new Unique Components in Sid Meier's Civilization VI.
New Unique Unit: Legión Británica
Replaces Line Infantry. Higher Melee Combat Strength (70 vs. 65).
When attacking, ignore every defense bonus from terrain or tile improvement of the enemy unit.
Suffers no Movement penalty in any land tiles.
New Unique Unit: Tortuga
Light Cavalry unit of the Modern Era. Unlocked by Combustion, 400 Production cost, 1600 Gold cost, 5 Gold maintenance cost, 4 Movement, 75 Melee Combat Strength, 2 Sight. Upgrades to Helicopter.
Receives +10 Melee Combat Strength when defending.
Receives +1 Movement when starting its turn on flat terrain with no Woods or Rainforests.
Ignores enemy zone of control.
New Unique District: Cumbia Festival
Replaces Entertainment Complex. Provides more Amenities (3 vs. 1).
Provides +3 Culture per turn when adjacent to Theater Square, increasing to +5 Culture per turn (with Conservation).
New Unique District: Palafito
Replaces Neighborhood. Can also be built on a Lake or Coast adjacent to the land tile. Provides +3 Loyalty per turn, +6 Housing, and +1 Amenity in this case.
Provides +2 Science per turn if the city is at maximum Loyalty and +2 Culture per turn if the city is Ecstatic.
It is no secret that Llanero offers the best timing for Gran Colombia to conquer. Still, things may become a little complicated if your neighbor prepared many anti-cavalry units on Fort. Legión Británica now rules out this scenario. This unit is almost as fast as Llanero in rough terrains and will clear the way for Llanero by easily smashing the enemy's anti-cavalry units.
It would be ideal if everything proceeded according to the plan for the Domination Victory. If it isn't, though, you might want to hang onto your war trophies and challenges for different types of victory. And Tortuga will come in handy in this situation. It's a little cheap for a Modern Era unit and excels at defense. Combine this unit with the Great General and Comandante General and place them in the most important checkpoints.
While it is remarkable on the battlefield, Gran Colombia receives no direct bonus in Culture or Science. But now, Cumbia Festival is given for it. This District provides ample Culture. If you're playing with an aggressive Civilization other than Alexander's Macedonia, you would eventually want to build this District at least one, especially when it provides not 1, not 2, but 3 amenities.
Palafito will provide priceless Culture and Science if you can adequately manage the Loyalty and Amenities of your cities. Also, if you're lucky enough to find a lot of water, this District also provides Loyalty, a lot of Housing, and Amenity altogether.
Gran Colombia will purge the evil from the world under the name of freedom if you wisely use its new Unique Components in Sid Meier's Civilization VI.
New Unique Unit: Klepht
Replaces Field Cannon. Unlocked by Nationalism instead of Ballistics. Higher Movement (3 vs. 2).
Can move after attacking. This move ignores the enemy zone of control.
May withdraw when faced with a melee attack. This chance depends on the gap in Combat Strength between this unit and the enemy unit. If this unit escorted another unit, both units may withdraw.
Killing a unit within 3 tiles from a city occupied by other Civilizations provides Faith and Culture equal to 50% of its Combat Strength.
New Unique Unit: Penteconter
Replaces Galley. No Gold maintenance cost.
Has 2 build charges that can construct Fishing Boats.
Receives +10 Melee Combat Strength when within 2 tiles from Greek Fishing Boats.
New Unique District: Agora
Replaces Commercial Hub. Can't receive ordinary Adjacency Bonuses. Instead, receives 1 Gold per turn from each adjacent District.
Provides 1 Great Scientist/Great Writer/Great Admiral point per turn when adjacent to Campus/Acropolis/Emporium. These bonuses can be stacked.
New Unique District: Emporium
Replaces Harbor. If a city with this District is connected to a Trade Route, every improved Luxury Resource and Strategic Resource nearby provides +1 Gold per turn. This bonus can be stacked once (+2 Gold per resource at maximum).
Greece is one of just two Civilizations with not one, not two, but three Unique Districts in this design. In addition to the official Acropolis, it can construct Agora. It may provide less Gold than Commercial Hub, but it will provide various Great Person points in its place, adding even more flexibility to an already versatile Civilization.
Once again, Agora might provide less Gold in return for some additional Great Person points. However, this disadvantage will rarely become an issue, thanks to Emporium. If you can settle near the Coast with many resources and connect the Trade Route with the city, this District will provide much additional income.
To protect the cargo ship in the early stage of the game, Penteconter is given to Greece. This unit receives a powerful Combat Strength bonus if a Greek Fishing Boats is nearby. Additionally, you won't need to create a Builder to construct Fishing Boats because this Galley replacement can construct this tile improvement.
If you achieved a prospering Civilization, what is good when your neighboring war machine plows out it? Klepht may be the answer to this question. As a Slinger did in Civ 5, this unit is a master of guerrilla warfare. Even more, this unit provides Faith and Culture for fighting near the occupied city. And did you know that this bonus still takes effect when you fight near the occupied city originally belonging to your Ally or former City-State?
The heroic deeds of the Greeks will remain as a mythical legend for a long time if you wisely use their new Unique Components in Sid Meier's Civilization VI.
New Unique Unit: Kuruc
Replaces Pike and Shot. Higher Movement (4 vs. 2). Higher Melee Combat Strength (60 vs. 55). Requires 10 Horses to train.
Ignores enemy zone of control.
No combat penalties against melee units, but suffer a 10 Melee Combat Strength penalty against anti-cavalry units.
Receive +5 Melee Combat Strength against civilizations that generate more Faith per turn than Hungary.
New Unique Unit: Zrínyi
Replaces Machine Gun. Unlocked by Combustion instead of Advanced Ballistics.
Lower Production cost (480 vs. 540). Higher Movement (4 vs. 2).
Receives +1 Movement when starting its turn on flat terrain with no Woods or Rainforests.
Ignores enemy zone of control.
New Unique Building: Végvár
Replaces Medieval Walls. Cities constructing this building receive +20% Production per City-State Hungary has Suzerainty over.
Provides +1 Production per turn per City-State Hungary has Suzerainty over (up to +5).
New Unique Tile Improvement: Opera House
Unlocked by Opera and Ballet. Can be built on any land tile other than Mountains. Must be built on a tile adjacent to Theater Square. Limited to 1 per city.
Grants +1 Appeal to adjacent tiles.
Provides +1 Amenity if built on a tile with Charming Appeal. Provides +2 Amenity if built on a tile with Breathtaking Appeal.
Provides +2 Culture per turn per each type of City-States Hungary has Suzerainty over (this bonus does not increase if obtained Suzerainty bonus of the multiple City-States of the same type).
Provides +2 Great Musician points if this city is at maximum Loyalty.
On the battlefield, Hungary has Black Army in the Medieval Era, nothing in the Renaissane Era, and Huszár in the Industrial Era. To bridge this gap, Kuruc is given to Hungary. It's the return of Lancer of Civ 5 in nature, and it may be conditional, but a Combat Strength bonus against religious Civilization can be helpful. Take note that this unit requires Horses to be created.
Zrínyi, another cavalry-like non-cavalry unit, is added to the Hungarian arsenal later in the game. Although there is no unique ability that will catch your eye, higher Movement with lower Production will be appealing on its own.
Thanks to the Leader Bonus of Matthias Corvinus, Hungary is the only Civilization that can "purchase" Envoys with Gold. And now, with two additional Unique Infrastructures, you may want to use this ability even more often. When you obtain many Suzerainty bonuses, Végvár, which will be built in lightspeed, will provide ample Production.
Opera House will also provide a high amount of Culture if you have obtained Suzerainty bonuses from various types of City-States. Also, it would be best to consider the Appeal and Loyalty. When you do so, this tile improvement will also provide Amenities and Great Musician points.
Over the hills and rivers, the glory of Hungary will continue if you wisely use its new Unique Components in Sid Meier's Civilization VI.
New Unique Unit: Chasqui
Replaces Scout. Receives +1 Movement when starting its turn on Hills.
Receives +1 Sight when on Hills.
Provides an additional 20 Gold upon activating Tribal Village.
New Unique Unit: Kunka Kuchuna
Replaces Pike and Shot. Unlocked by Reformed Church instead of Metal Casting.
Receives +1 Melee Combat Strength for each Technology belonging to the Renaissance Era already researched.
Cities creating this unit receive "Number of Civic belonging to the Renaissance Era already developed X 5"% Production.
New Unique Building: Kancha
Replaces Granary. Higher Gold maintenance cost (1 vs. 0).
Provides +4 Food per turn. This bonus decreases to +3 with more than 3 Citizens, +2 with more than 5 Citizens, +1 with more than 7, and provides no Food with more than 9.
If this city has more than 9 Citizens, provides +2 additional Housing.
New Unique District: Tambo
Replaces Commercial Hub. Unlocked by Foreign Trade instead of Currency.
Each Trading Post (including Inca's) built in this city provides +1 Food and +2 Gold per turn.
Changed Unique Unit: Warak'aq
Upgrades from Scout. → Upgrades from Chasqui.
Growing cities are the easiest thing for the Incas to do, and Kancha gives it wings. With this building, which doesn't need any Specialty District, the Incan cities will grow with incredible speed. Even once the city's population reaches nine, this building's unique benefit will be "obsoleted," but it still offers valuable Housing. More upkeep is needed for this building, but who will even care?
Tambo can be a somewhat underwhelming District. You will eventually construct an Incan Trading Post in the Incan city due to the Leader Bonus of Pachacuti, but you can't force other Civilizations to send their Trade Routes to you. Fortunately, though, you can construct many Districts thanks to large Populations, so your neighbors might consider connecting their Trade Routes.
In terms of the military, the Inca can create Chasqui. This unit may seem adept at scouting and with good reason. However, as recon units gain experience via exploration, Warak'aq upgraded from this unit can be a nightmare to anyone who dares to challenge the Inca.
In the Renaissance Era, the Inca also can create Kunka Kuchuna. It's unlocked at the early Renaissance Era, but becomes more and more potent as the Renaissance Era passed to the Industrial Era. The only downside of this unit is the Civic requirement. It is unlocked by Reformed Church, while the Inca has no direct bonus related to Religion.
Proud Incans will look down on other lesser nations at the top of the mountain if you wisely use their new Unique Components in Sid Meier's Civilization VI.
New Unique Unit: Mysorean Rocket
Ranged unit of the Renaissance Era. Unlocked by Metal Casting. 380 Production cost, 1520 Gold cost, 4 Gold maintenance cost, 2 Movement, 45 Melee Combat Strength, 65 Ranged Combat Strength, 3 Range, 2 Sight. Upgrades to Machine Gun.
Cannot attack after moving unless its maximum Movement is 3 or more.
Cities creating this unit receive +"the number of Citizens of the City X 2"% Production.
New Unique Unit: Sepoy
Replaces Line Infantry. Higher Melee Combat Strength (70 vs. 65). Unlocked by Nationalism instead of Military Science. May be purchased with Faith.
Receives a unique ability according to the way of creation.
Created by Production: Receives +3 Melee Combat Strength.
Purchased by Gold: Upon killing the enemy unit, gets a refund of every Movement point used during this turn and can make an additional attack.
Purchased by Faith: Heals at the end of every turn, even if it moves or attacks.
Upgraded from an earlier unit: receives +50% combat experience.
New Unique Building: Katra
Replaces Bank. If a Trade Route is sent from this city, provides +4 Gold per turn from that Trade Route. If there is this building in the destination city, too, provides +8 Gold per turn from that Trade Route.
Trade Route capacity is increased by 1 for every 3 Katras owned.
Gold and Faith costs of patronizing Great People are decreased by 2% for each Katra owned (up to 30%).
New Unique Building: Maqbara
Replaces Temple. If this building is located on a tile with Charming Appeal, provides 2 additional Faith per turn and 1 Housing.
If this building is located on a tile with Breathtaking Appeal, provides 4, instead of 2, additional Faith per turn and 2, instead of 1, Housing.
Upon patronizing a Great Person by Faith, provides a refund of 5% of used Faith per each Maqbara owned (up to 50%).
Upon patronizing a Great Person by Gold, provides a refund of 2.5% of used Gold per each Maqbara owned (up to 25%).
In this design, India received a brand-new concept: A Civilization that can "patronize" many Great People easily. The first Unique Component related to this is Maqbara. This building provides a refund of Gold or Faith that was used in patronizing, and more and more refunds when you own this building more and more. This building also provides Housing and Faith when built upon tile with high Appeal.
Katra is another Unique Building related to the Great People. This building provides additional Gold and directly reduces Gold and Faith costs of Great People. With Maqbara and Katra, attracting many Great People to the land of three religions would not be difficult, especially under Gandhi.
In the realm of violence, India can now create Mysorean Rocket. It's indeed a powerful unit, but its Production cost is rather suitable for the Industrial Era unit. However, this unit can be created faster in a large city. Fortunately, India has some advantages when it comes to population growth. Under Chandragupta, this unit can be a giant death rocket prototype.
With Nationalism, India, in effect, receives four Unique Units. Despite sharing the same name, Sepoy, this unit is endowed with different abilities based on its creation. Because this unit also may be purchased with Faith, you can choose the bonus you want the most. Remember that when combining two Sepoy into a Corps, the Corps only receives the bonus of the unit ordered to be combined, not the unit that combined into the Corps.
The Indians will guide the world with wisdom, arts, and thought if you wisely use their new Unique Components in Sid Meier's Civilization VI.
New Unique Unit: Borobudur Ship
Naval Melee unit of the Classical Era. Unlocked by Shipbuilding. 100 Production cost, 400 Gold cost, 2 Gold maintenance cost, 4 Movement, 35 Melee Combat Strength, 2 Sight. Upgrades to Caravel.
Each Holy Site building in the city created or purchased this unit grants +3 Melee Combat Strength to this unit (+9 in total).
Each improved luxury resource near the city creating this unit provides +15% Production.
New Unique Unit: Cetbang
Ranged unit of the Renaissance Era. Unlocked by Gunpowder. 250 Production cost, 1000 Gold cost, 4 Gold maintenance cost, 2 Movement, 40 Melee Combat Strength, 55 Ranged Combat Strength, 2 Range, 2 Sight. Upgrades to Field Cannon.
Cannot attack after moving unless its maximum Movement is 3 or more.
When on a land tile adjacent to Coast, receives +5 Ranged Combat Strength and +1 Range.
Receives +5 Ranged Combat Strength against the enemy naval military unit or embarked unit.
New Unique District: Wayang Kuilt
Replaces Theater Square. Receives 1 adjacency bonus from each adjacent Lake or Coast tile. Grants +1 Culture per turn to adjacent Lake or Coast tiles.
New Unique Tile Improvement: Candi
Unlocked by Theology. Must be built in the Rainforest. Cannot be adjacent to another Candi.
Grants +3 Faith and +1 Production per turn to adjacent unimproved Rainforest tiles. This bonus can be stacked if adjacent to more than 2 Candis.
City with this tile improvement receives +1 Amenity, increasing to +2 Amenities with more than 2 this tile improvement (with Natural History).
Tiles with this tile improvement cannot be worked.
Changed Civ Ability: Great Nusantara
Coast and Lake tiles provide a +0.5 adjacency bonus for Holy Site, Campus, Industrial Zone, and Theater Square districts.
→ Coast and Lake tiles provide a +0.5 adjacency bonus for Holy Site, Campus, and Industrial Zone districts.
Indonesia is ready to spread its wings and cover the ocean in this design. Shipbuilding unlocks not just almighty Kampung but also Borobudur Ship. While not particularly remarkable on its own, this unit receives Combat Strength from Holy Site buildings. And there will be no reason to ignore these buildings for Indonesia. Furthermore, this unit can be created even faster if many luxury resources are nearby.
Cetbang is a land unit that contributes to the coastal defense. Move this unit to the coastal land tile and fire at will onto any naive enemy ships that dare approach the Indonesian shores.
If you found a small landmass surrounded by water, it would be the ideal place to construct Wayang Kulit. Despite being conditional, it provides an ample amount of Culture. And Indonesia needs Culture, at least until it develops mercenaries.
Candi works similarly to Nazca Line. This tile improvement strengthens adjacent Rainforest tiles, but the Citizen can't work on the tile with this. Check whether workable tiles near the city are enough, construct this tile improvement appropriately, and then Faith and Production will be poured from Rainforest tiles. The main drawback of this tile improvement, however, is that Indonesia isn't related to the Rainforest other than this tile improvement.
Every island on Earth will bow to Indonesia if you wisely use its new Unique Components in Sid Meier's Civilization VI.
