Proposed Civ Game

I would like to try this. It has gotten some suppourt on reddit discord, but currently it does not have enough players. The game would be in beyond earth or rising tide and would have three (or four teams of two if contact is requested) that would each pick an affinity to follow. THe three teams would then need to follow their dominant affinity and complete the victory for that type (promised land for purity, emancipation for supremacy, and trancendence for harmony) Domination is also a valid option though.

I thought it might work well with the great person Adam Smith, who does the same exact thing , but allows an extra economic policy slot.

Possible great people not in game

Temple Grandin, Great engineer (information era): Instantly creates a random improved cattle, sheep, or horses (weighted towards cattle) resource, +1 production production from all pastures.

Enrico Fermi, great scientist (atomic era): +25% production towards WMDs (gathering storm: instantly builds a nuclear power plant and provides 3 sources of uranium, =25% production towards WMDs)

Otto Van Bismark, Great general (modern era): +1 military policy slot

Milton Hershey, great merchant (industrial era): Grants one free copy of this luxury resource to your capital city, +1 gold to all improved lucury resources in your teritory

Lord Howard, Great Admiral (renisance era): Retirement grants +50% suppourt bonus to all naval units

Berlinghiero Berlingheiri, Great artist (Mideval Era): Creates great works Madonna and Child (religious art), Crucifix (reeligious art), also creates two slots for religious art in the palace.

So what do you think? Good? bad? Interisting? Id love to know what wikia thinks.

If people arent paying attention too much to army movement, you can get away with a lot with the pitati archer because they can move like an archer and still shoot, meaning that it opens a lot more opportunities and works great for countering and attacking other enemies.

The only irritation one is science because even with campuses, its too slow to finish. theres plenty of time to lose to a cultural, religious, or military power.

Beyond earth just seems better with insta-improvements and builders (since they are trying to establish a nation before they run out of resources, so why not bring preconstructed mining equipment and just have builders ship it to the site.) the districts also sound like a neat idea too add even more diversity to the game as different civs manage their cities more efficently as well as preventing civs from creating crazy fast-cities by just buying the entire building list.

Ancient tomb problem

Whenever the ancient tomb shows up, it prompts the written in stone quest, but the next turn, regardless of everything else, the tomb will despawn, causing the gaim to fail the quest and forcing me to sacrifice a tile. I've been able to prevent the tomb from spawning by reloading auto saves, but I can't ever even start the quest. I'll buy an explorer in the nearesy city, sometimes a turn in advance and wait for it to spawn, but the game won't let me excavate it at all. It just clogs up my territory and causes settling problems. Does anybody know how to fix this?

i have never really played civ5 but i have seen other people play it. I did watch others. I would have to say thatunstacking cities was ingenious as it requires much more strategy when you have to sacrifice dozens of tiles for districts and wonders instead of just one tile. it makes players think twice about what goes on hills (which may contain almost every strategic resource (with the exception of niter, aluminum, and uranium) or even any adjacency bonuses (such as the bonus of adjacent farms from feudalisim and replacable parts)
