Abilities (CivRev)

A unit is ready to learn a new ability.

Abilities are special skills available to elite units in Civilization Revolution. There are nine different abilities, up to six of which a single unit can acquire. Units learn their first ability upon becoming elite (i.e., after winning three battles as veterans) and learn an additional ability each time they win three battles or defeat an enemy unit of equal or greater strength.

Ability Effect
March +1 movement per turn
Blitz An extra move after an attack (another attack or movement)
Scout Shows stats of an army
Medic Allows unit to heal anywhere
Guerrilla +50% attack if in home territory
Loyalty +50% defense if in home territory
Infiltration +50% attack if attacking a city
Engineer +100% defense if in a city
Leadership +100% defense if the unit is in a square with other troops
