Aerospace Complex is a base facility in Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.

Strategy

Aerospace Complexes can be built with the advent of Doctrine: Air Power. Needlejets and Choppers built at a base with an Aerospace Complex start off with +2 morale, and any damaged air unit can be repaired in one turn at such a base as long as said base is not under artillery bombardment. In addition, land units in a base that has an Aerospace Complex have a +100% defensive modifier against air units, not unlike that of a Perimeter Defense against land units.

Aerospace Complexes are also required to launch space satellites, such as defensive satellites such as Orbital Defense Pods and resource-extraction systems such as Sky Hydroponics Labs, Nessus Mining Stations, and Orbital Power Transmitters, and only bases with Aerospace Complexes gain the full benefits of the latter three.

In the expansion, a faction that possesses Cloudbase Academy will have an Aerospace Complex at every base, free of maintenance costs.
