Alexander the Great, also known as Alexander III, is a Greek and Macedonian leader, Great Person, and unit in the Civilization and Call to Power games and the son of Philip II of Macedon and Olympias. He appears in every game in the main series, including both Civilization Revolution games.

Alexander leads the Greeks, and also appears as a Great General in the Alexander's Conquests scenario.

Alexander leads the Macedonians, and also appears as a Great General in the Conquests of Alexander scenario. This is the first, and so far only, game in which Alexander leads Macedon instead of Greece.
