Animals are present in some form or another in all of the Civilization, Call to Power, and Colonization games and C-evo. They include Alligators, Bears, Beavers, Bison, Caribou, Cattle, Crabs, Deer, Elephants, Fish, Game, Giant Squid, Horses, Oxen, Sheep, and Whales.

Animals (i.e., Bears, Lions, Panthers, and Wolves) are the first barbarians that can be generated in the game. Unlike other barbarians, they cannot enter or attack into a civilization's cultural borders.
