Antioch, also known by its historical name of Antiochia, is a Byzantine, Greek, Persian, and Roman city in the Civilization and Call to Power games, and also appears as a city-state. In real life, it was an ancient Greek city located near present-day Antakya, Turkey.
In scenarios, it may appear as the Seleucid capital in Rise of Rome, an Abbasid city in Middle Ages, and a Sasanian city in Fall of Rome.
Civilization VI
Antioch appears as a city-state replaced Amsterdam. In the New Frontier Pass, with the introduction of Byzantium as a playable civilization, Antioch became a Byzantine city and was replaced with Venice under all rulesets.
