Hey Guys
Hey guys.
Thank you for taking the time to check my profile out. It's not much but I care about articles more than profiles.
Once again thanks.

Latin America
Brave New World is announced, they added Pedro II of Brazil as new civ. Only Brazil (and DLC Inca) in Latin America? I wish they added Che of Argentine and Bolivar of Gran Colombia. So there will be more powerful nations from South America. It would be nice to see Che (and Gandhi) in a game.

Ideas for Civ. VI Leaders Pt. 1
I haven't gone over every civilization and the possible leaders, but I have a few suggestions.....
Each civilization will have 3 different leaders for the different eras. One of the earliest of the leaders of the civilization will lead in the Ancient and Classical era, a leader from the civilization's middle period will lead in the Medieval and Renaissance eras, and one of the latest (or last) leaders from that civilization will lead in the Industrial, Modern, and, if added, Future eras. I am basing Civ VI after its predecessor, Civ V. Here's some of my ideas...
America:
Ancient and Classical eras- George Washington
Medieval and Renaissance eras- Abraham Lincoln
Industrial, Modern, and Future eras- Franklin D. Roosevelt
Rome:
Ancient and Classica…

List of CTP2 civilization pages iv created
the First ctp2 civilization iv created so far is the carthiginians i have added a complete list of City locations placement lists for both of its two maps. i would like to add more City list locations for other maps but the problem is that on the other maps the carthiginians do not get extremly large number of cities. theres 41 civs on CTP2 for the defualt game and theres additional Civs beyond this acording on which mod and which make you pick. so city placements are still not known yet as the maps havent all been exsplored by me and only a few real world maps i chose not to download such as Italy and India due to the fact that at some point a entire civ would control the map. but at some point i would like to exsplore them. i have complt…

Merged the CivRev wiki
I have just imported some 140 articles and some 70 images from the Civilization Revolution Wiki, which will be closed any day now and redirected here. To avoid losing any content from either wiki I imported the articles under a new, temporary namespace, "CivRev:". Now the articles need to be either renamed or merged into existing articles with the "(CivRev)" postfix. More on the forum.
Civ5 game log: Conquest of the New World
Alright, so, I figured that after the fictional historical scenario I'd try the historically apparently more accurate scenario, Conquest of the New World. It is set in the 1500s when Spain, England and France sent ships across the Atlantic to find a way to China, but ended up into America instead.
I figured I'd rectify the historical wrong-doings of the conquistadors and play as the Incan civilization and fend the Europeans off. Well, it didn't quite go that way then, but more on that later.
First, I learned that the game would last 100 turns or until the first Civ would reach 1000 points, i.e. the objective of the scenario was just to get as many points as possible. I also learned that you'd get points for sending a Caravel to China and bri…
Civ5 game log: Empires of the Smoky Skies
Alright, so I finally got my copy of Gods and Kings from Play.com and decided to first give a try to the Empires of the Smoky Skies steampunk scenario. I selected a random leader and ended up playing as Clinton Dalmace and Warlord difficulty due to the fact that I haven't actually played the game for a long time.
My civilization starts on a nice area of rivers, plains and grasslands somewhere south, judging by the nearby tundra areas. I quickly meet two other civs: Cyrus Rotherdam of Eruch (neutral attitude) and Ignace Curnow of Orlin (friendly). I establish three cities until the Eruch Empire comes close in the east and Orlin Empire in the north. There's also a city state to the west. Given the small map, this seems to be a normal number of …

Gods and Kings article conventions
Now that the Civilization V: Gods & Kings expansion pack is out, I've now modified the templates so that you can add a new parameter, "|game=Gods and Kings", to them. I suggest putting two templates on pages where the item was changed in the expansion, as is already done at Temple (Civ5). Support? Oppose? Comments?
(You can also check out the Forum:Gods & Kings article conventions thread I created a few days back.)
A decade long Civ2 game
Redditor Lycerius recently announced that he has been playing the same game of Civilization II for almost 10 years! That's just amazing!
The year is 3991 A.D. and there are three super nations competing for the sparse resources of a dystopic world of continuous nuclear wars. The global warming has melted the ice caps and everything but mountains has turned into uninhabitable swamps, jungles and nuclear wastelands... People don't have any food to eat anymore as all the money and production resources are going into sustaining the huge armies...
Don't stop hoping
!(Sorry for the bad grammars)!
The first Civ V Expansion Pack is almost release, the good news said that the Religion and Espionage will return in stand of time challenge. More detailed religions system. And of course it will add new buildings, units, and civilizations. So far, so good. Civilization V had gived big changes in Sid Meier's Civilization series, including it next expansion pack: Gods & Kings. The Civilization is become nicer.
Im so happy too, that they will add new civilizations that never playabled in previous Civ series, that is Hunnic and Sweden (and Polynesia too.), that is the most very good news for me.
Big proud, but i little dissapointed. With the Civilization V is become nicer, why it not add Zulus on it, i've been waite…

Help the wiki reach 3,000 pages!
- 1 We want you to help us!
- 1.1 What can YOU do?
- 2 Civilization Revolution
- 3 Trailer
- 4 Civilization V, Gods and Kings
Although this wiki is just reaching 2,600 pages, I think that we have what it takes to reach 3,000 pages! I am quite new to the wiki but I have fallen in love with the dedication and passion that many of you have. Click here to see all pages which have not been made!
You may think that the wiki can't do any more pages, but there is a entire civ game which is hardly included! You may have forgotton Civilization Revolution- with such a large game, I feel that we should use it to reach 3,000 pages! As well as that, the release of the new Civilization V expansion - Gods and Kings is just around the corner!
If you weren't aware of Civilization r…
Page name standards are important here
OK, some of you think you can call a wiki page anything you like.
Well, it's almost entirely true. However, it's not the end of the story if you want a wiki to hang together and make the best use of clever templates.
Please all read http://civilization.wikia.com/wiki/Forum:Categorization?t=20120125101826#Duplications then add your 2 or 3 cents' worth and we'll see if we can get some consensus on the old names and (maybe even before it appears) on Gods and Kings.
A subsidiary question that arises is whether we might want a separate listing in Template:Overview for Gods and Kings. We don't have BtS, PtW, etc, but we could.

Nearly 3,000 pages!
I have recently been contributing to the wiki, and I have realized that we are nearing 3,000 pages (although we are only at around 2,600) I am sure with extra effort we can try and make this wiki even larger. I simply wish to say thank you to all those hard working contributors for making this wiki what it is today! Also I have been adding lots of Civilization 5, Gods and Kings pages, most images I have gotten are from the 2k forums this page on this page.

Civilization Masterlist
I have created a Masterlist on all Civilization nations.
Basically, it is like this:
Nation Leaders Wonders in Nation Unique Unit Unique Building Unique Improvement General Capital
So, as an example I will use Inca:
Inca (Civ 3,4,5)
Pachacuti (Civ 3,5), Huayna Capac (Civ 4)
Cristo Redentor (Civ 4,5), Machu Picchu (Civ 5)
Chasqui Scout (Civ 3), Quechua (Civ 4), Slinger (Civ 5)
Terrace (Civ 4)
Terrace Farm (Civ 5)
Cuzco (Civ 3,4,5)
If you want an edit, you can either tell me the edits or give me your e-mail so you can edit.

I Hereby Pronounce Myself Category King of the Civilization Wiki
I dunno, just because.
I just have so many categories, so I have decided, y'know, make myself the king of categories. For the lulz.
Well, bye y'all. I gotta get to 1500 categories.
Adding the Civ5 national emblems.
Hey, I was browsing around the Civilization 5 page and realized that we don't show the national emblems/colors for each Civ. It is a minor change, but I would be pretty useful for reference. Would anyone like to help me add the emblems for each of the Civilizations on the faction list?

Civilization 5: Gods & Kings Announced
Fans of Civilization V should be delighted to know that an expansion will be coming out soon for the game. 2K Games announced today that Civilization V: Gods & Kings will be released on June 19th, 2012 in North America, and June 22nd, 2012 internationally.
The following is a collection of images from the new expansion pack.
This is officially a Big Wiki
I've just added us to the list on "Central Wikia". (Most of my edits to that page have been noting another thousand articles on Familypedia, but I'm not a one-wiki man.)
We get a pale yellow star. When we reach 5,000 articles we get a brighter colour. Good work, folks!!!
Taking Tyre
Today, I tried to take a city state.
It was a side theater to my larger war against the Aztecs, I figured that it would fall like the rest of the domino cities in the region.
So wrong
Firstly, the Aztecs were in the Renaissance, I was in the late Industrial. My Infantry were wiping the floor against their Crossbowmen and Longswordsmen with Cannon support, even though the Artillery was lagging two or three tiles behind the front. As I approached the city of Tyre, a longtime ally of the Aztecs, they declared war on me. I sent two Infantry and an Artillery to take the city, which was one Infantry more than my usual tactics called for.
Now, Tyre was rather secluded from the Aztecs, on the other side of three tiles of unclaimed Plains Forest. The w…

Time by time, during Tribhuwana's rule, with help of Prime Minister named Gadjah Mada, Majapahit Empire grew much large and more powerful, conquered many kingdoms in Indonesia, she ruled Majapahit until the death of her mother in AD 1350, then she chose her son named Hayam Wuruk to became the next leader.

Civilization V: Gods and Kings Expansion Pack Announced
Today's announcement of the Civilization V: Gods and Kings expansion pack promises much more than a fresh coat of paint on an already excellent formula.
Entire game systems have been tweaked. Civilizations have been added. And Religion is making a comeback.
Expanded Epic Game: The core game experience has been greatly expanded with the addition of new technologies, 27 new units, 13 new buildings and nine new Wonders.

Great new old free game, Imperialism
It's the 19th century and steam engines are really useful in putting railroads through forests etc (but not swamps). You and six other Great Powers of Europe share a map (possibly nothing like Europe) with 16 Minor Nations. Spinning Jenny works not in a factory but out in the fields increasing cotton and wool production.
Conquering other nations may get you a win, but the official way to win Imperialism is to get the votes of a majority of about 120 provincial governors. Diplomacy and efficient manufacturing and trade discounts are more likely to win for you when the council convenes.
It's:
- Railroad Tycoon (but turn-based and with no visible train operation) and
- Civilization (with more diplomacy and lots more products to harvest or create and sel…

Lovin Civ Wiki
hey just wanted to say this is a great Wiki! I'm new to Wikia but I really like this place.
End of game ranking
Playing Civilization Revolution on the XBox, we, (by accident), won a domination victory, eliminating all other civilizations prior to 1000 AD, (100 BC). When we looked at our post game rank, it was not at the top, which we expected, rather it was down in the middle. (We did get the gamer score/achievement.) What's with that?
Does anyone know how the game figures end of game rank?
Update: we lost a game, (technology) but still ended up with the highest possible ranking, above Winston Churchill. We had launched a star ship, captured one enemy capital and were qualified to build both the U.N. and the World Bank.DarthOrc 05:59, June 27, 2012 (UTC)
First civ win
Hi! I'm new on this wiki, and to the Civ series. Today I won my first win. I was England on Settler, Small and Earth Map. It took me about 400 turns to learn how to take a city, and I captured the Ottoman capital. I won diplomatically, but France was going culture and I was getting 600+ culture a turn so they suddenly stopped liking me. I'll keep on playing games on increasing difficulty, and will hopefully win them.
suggestions to Civilizations
Civilizations is ok but it lacks any action and could be made into scenes as a shooter.Action game.I am a powerful civilization and use Americans or Japanese and I nuclear bomb the Germans and Mongolians. And I invasion the British and tank infantry them off the map to surrender.I am good at powering up my civilization readying it for war. When I have bought enough time with the primitive armaments then I utilize the modern one and grow them to win.It ends too quick on playstation and nintendo. And the maps could show a planet view like on yahoo maps but in game. And to choose your own troops would be good as to buying as in Ace Combat different weapons to fit and variety of military hardware to buy.Choose your own character or make ones up.Th…
Another tough C-evo game
Book 39: Six nations, all of us at "Hard" level, on a standard-size map with 50% land.
Moskva, at about latitude 40 degrees north, is completely landlocked (which can be an advantage because early ships won't find you) but has five coast tiles (which cannot be improved by harbour or offshore platform but would benefit from The Lighthouse - and you can't create any ships very early). Reasonable mixture of hills, forests, plains, and grassland, and it reaches size [6] by 2800 BC, shortly after we research our phalanxes (18/12/1.5, the standard for first miltary units). Two militia were created very early (3800 and 3600) and went off exploring.
For those of you who want the fine detail to compare with other games and other difficulty levels, he…
Science Modifcation
Hey guys I am planning on making a modification that I will call the science modification. The first thing I will do with the modifcation will add a new wonder that I will call the GPS wonder. Here are the details: GPS Wonder
2800 Production Needed to Build
Double production speed with Copper
Requires Satellites
1 Extra Trade route In all Cities
+50% commerce from foreign trade routes in all Cities
All Units can move 2 more squares per turn
So tell me what you guys think.
FreeRails
Off-topic but related to Sid Meier, who was responsible for the original Railroad Tycoon. Good imitation called FreeRails is on SourceForge but has apparently stalled since 2006. A pity - it's already almost as good as the original except for unfriendly aspects of user-interface. Track is not clear enough and there's no indication of where you have doubled track. Stations on the map should be openable with just a click. Newly-built trains should not default to the same 4 or 5 stations as the last one had. There should be signal towers or whatever, for turning trains.
