The Byzantines will be a playable civilization in Civilization VI, included with the Byzantium and Gaul Pack. They were revealed on September 14, 2020, in the September 2020 DLC Developer Livestream. Their leader and unique infrastructure are currently unknown, their colors are purple and yellow, and their unique unit is the Dromon. The livestream in which they were introduced stated that they would be "all about conquest".
