Strategy

Cathedrals boost more Culture Culture Culture than the other religious buildings. Indeed, in Gods & Kings, the Cathedral comes with +3 Culture Culture Culture bonus and an added Artist Specialist slot.

In Brave New World, the Cathedral has been overhauled so that it only generates +1 Culture Culture Culture, and no longer has the Artist Specialist slot. Still, the Cathedral is the best religious building for boosting Culture Culture Culture, because each Cathedral now has one slot for Great Work of Art, which makes up for the changes made to the building.
