DLC, short for downloadable content, means new content that the players can load into their existing games. In the context of the Civilization series, DLCs appeared in Civilization V when the game was tightly tied to Steam. The DLCs usually cost between 3-5 euros, or approximately the same amount in US dollars. The currently available DLCs for Civilization V are:
