Back arrow (CivBE) List of yields in CivBE

Energy Energy is one of the main tile yields in Civilization: Beyond Earth. In a technological society, energy is needed to power up almost everything, so it turns into a sort of a universal currency similar to Gold Gold Gold in Civilization V.

Sources

Energy is mostly generated from buildings, tile improvement and trade. Salvaging resource pods, clearing alien nests, or combining artifacts may also reward energy.

Uses

It's used to pay for the maintenance cost of units, buildings and tile improvements.

It can also be used to purchase units and buildings in your cities or acquire unclaimed tiles.
