Enlightenment is the Scientific Legacy Path of the Exploration Age in Civilization VII and its expansions.

Milestones

The following bonuses are awarded in the next Age upon reaching each milestone:

• <1 districts with 40+ yields:
  • Scientific Dark Age
• 1 district with 40+ yields:
  • +1 Scientific Legacy Point
  • Scientific Attribute Bonus
• 3 districts with 40+ yields:
  • +1 Scientific Legacy Point
  • Lyceums
• 5 districts with 40+ yields:
  • +1 Scientific Legacy Point
  • Scientific Golden Age

Legacies

The following legacies are unlocked after reaching the previous milestones.

Legacy Bonus	Legacy point cost	Effect
Scientific Dark Age	1 Wildcard	Flight is unlocked with Combustion, But +50% cost to all air units.
Scientific Attribute Point	1 Scientific	Gain 1 Scientific Attribute point.
Lyceums	2 Scientific	+3 Science per turn for each Quarter.
Enlightenment Golden Age	2 Scientific	Universities become Golden Age Universities (They retain their base yields, adjacency bonuses, and effects in the next Age).
