Erik the Red, also known as Erik Thorvaldsson, is a Great Person in the Civilization games and the father of Leif Erikson.

Erik the Red appears as a Great Admiral (or Great Merchant in vanilla). He also leads the Greenlanders in a mod for Civilization V (available here).
