The Bowman is the unique unit of the Babylonian civilization.

Strategy[]

Compared to the Archer it replaces, the Bowman is 50% more effective against melee units.

Civilopedia entry[]

The Bowman was a cornerstone of the Babylonian military. The Babylonians, similar to their Sumerian predecessors, fielded highly trained and well-equipped bowmen. These archers were instrumental in siege warfare; they cleared enemy walls of troops, and sowed terror into the populace by launching volleys of fire arrows into the cities. Once a city had been captured, these bowmen became the key to defending their newly acquired prize.
