The Finnish people, also known as the Finns, represent Finland, a sovereign state in Northern Europe. While Finland has never been represented as a civilization in the main Civilization franchise, there have still been some references to it:

- Helsinki, the capital of Finland, has appeared as a Viking or a Swedish city in some of the games. (It makes more sense for it to be a Swedish city, since Finland was never a Norse culture or settlement.)
- "Finnish" is one of the names for a Barbarian tribe in The Middle Ages scenario.
- Finland is a playable civilization in the World War II-themed The Road to War scenario of the Beyond the Sword expansion pack for Civilization IV.
- Helsinki is a Maritime City-State.
- The Finnish light cavalry unit Hakkapeliitta are the Swedish unique unit.
- The Civilopedia entry of the National Epic national wonder mentions Kalevala, the Finnish national epic.
- In the Civilopedia entry of the Polish civilization, Finland is mentioned as having the highest density of lakes in Europe (Poland having the second highest).
