Researching Future Technology for the first time gives all tiles in your empire that yield production a +1 production bonus. Researching it a second time gives all tiles in your empire that yield food a +1 food bonus. Researching it a third time gives all tiles in your empire that yield trade a +1 trade bonus. These bonuses are awarded repeatedly (and in the same order) if you research Future Technology a fourth or subsequent time.
