The Greek people represent Greece, a default civilization in Civilization II.
Color[]
The Greeks are an orange civilization. A game including the Greeks will not involve the Carthaginians or English.
Leaders[]
The default male leader of the Greeks is Alexander. Alexander the Great (356–323 BC) was an Argead king of Macedon who successfully conquered the Persians. Although his kingdom lay on the Greek periphery and his empire was divided among his generals upon his death, he is still generally credited with the hellenization of the Near East for the next 1000 years.
The default female leader is Hippolyta, daughter of Ares and queen of the Amazons in Greek legend.
Greek leaders use governments' default titles except for democracy. Greek presidents, like English or Japanese ones, are titled "prime minister".
Personality[]
The Greek AI is expansionist and militaristic.

Scenarios[]
Alexander the Great is a scenario involving the Macedonian kingdom's conquest of the Persian empire that appeared in Conflicts in Civilization.
In The Rise of Rome, Alexander's empire has been divided up among his generals: the Seleucid Greeks (using Chinese settings) under Antiochus control southwest Asia from Seleucia in Mesopotamia; the Ptolemaic Greeks (using Spanish settings) under Ptolemy control Egypt from Alexandria beside the Nile delta; and the Macedonian Greeks (using Viking settings) control northern Greece proper from Pella. The Ind. Greeks and Allies (using Greek settings) include Delphi, Rhodes, Pergamum, and Massilia, controlled by Hiero from Syracuse. Sparta remains overrun by the Celts (using Mongol settings).
In the World War II scenario, Greece—consisting only of Athens—forms part of the Allies controlled by Churchill from London.
