The Incan people, also known as the Inca or Incas, represent a playable civilization in the Civilization and Call to Power games and a Native American tribe in the Colonization games. Their capital is Cusco.
The Inca Empire began in 1438 and ceased to exist when it was conquered by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro in 1533. At its greatest extent, it stretched from Ecuador to Central Chile and was the largest empire that pre-Columbian South America had ever seen. Descendants of the people who were ruled by the Inca still live in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Argentina today.
The empire's 9th ruler Pachacuti is the leader of the Incas in Civilization III and V. Its 11th ruler Huayna Capac is the leader of the Incas in Civilization IV. His eldest son Atahualpa (as "Atawallpa") is the leader of the moddable Incas in Civilization II.
