Ironworking is an advance in Civilization: Call to Power.
Summary[]
Iron Working, the second Defensive War Advance, announces the age of cheap, universal weaponry. With the Legion, Civilizations gain a flexible, professional soldier capable of invading and occupying any ancient territory.
Great Library entry[]
By 500 BC, ironworking had become widespread in the Mediterranean region. Iron was much more plentiful than tin or copper and so greatly reduced the cost of swords and armor. Also, when well made, iron weapons proved superior to bronze.
