Launch Mars Colony is a project in Civilization VI: Gathering Storm (in which it replaces the Launch Mars Habitation, Launch Mars Hydroponics, and Launch Mars Reactor projects) and the third step toward winning a Science Victory. It becomes available after researching Nanotechnology and completing the Launch Moon Landing project, and requires a Spaceport district.
Establishing a permanent colony on another planet, far more distant than our Moon, is the next task an aspiring space pioneer must undertake. No more a mere landing on a nearby planetoid, but a whole expedition which constructs and launches a self-sustaining, permanent habitation on another planet! Its success proves that humankind has advanced far enough in order to leave its mother planet and begin space conquest!
Once completed, this project establishes a small human base on the surface of Mars and allows the player to undertake the fourth step toward a Science Victory: Exoplanet Expedition.
