Leonnatus was a loyal cavalry general of Alexander the Great who was trusted and skilled enough to become one of the king’s personal bodyguards. He served throughout Alexander’s campaigns. After Alexander’s death, Leonnatus was caught up in the wars of succession. He met his end at Athenian hands in the Lamian War.
