The following is a list of units in Civilization V and its expansions.
The Gods & Kings expansion pack added 27 new units, including the Composite Bowman, Galleass, and Landship. The Brave New World expansion pack added 20 new units, including the Barbarian Hand-Axe.
Some units are unique; they replace standard units and can be produced or purchased only when playing as certain civilizations. They are marked as such, and appear under the heading of the standard unit they replace. Their general armament and thus their technological requirements are the same as that unit, but their resource requirements may differ - that is, some unique units can be produced without access to the strategic resources that their counterparts require.
