- Memphis, Egypt was the capital of the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. It served as the capital of Inebu-hedj, the first nome of Lower Egypt that was known as mḥw ("North"). Its ruins are located in the vicinity of the present-day village of Mit Rahina, in markaz Badrashin, Giza in present-day Egypt, and home to the Pyramids, referring to the Memphis Pyramid Necropolis that spans the sites of Saqqara, Dahshur, Giza, and Abusir. Most games specifically mention the pyramids at only one of these sites: the Great Pyramids at Giza.
- Memphis, Tennessee is a city in the U.S. state of Tennessee and home to Rock 'n' Roll, a.k.a. Graceland.
