I don't speak natively, and I know someone else has since made a much better transcription of it elsewhere (can't recall where, unfortunately, maybe in the civfanatics leader sayings thread) that I just never got around to port over. I do happen to own a grammar of the language though (it's Launey's Introduction a la Langue et a la Litterature Azteques, in PDF format), and I worked from it and an online dictionary to try and piece what Montezuma was saying.
It's not the civfanatics thread for sure, there is only one post about Montezume there with Into and Attacked line. The rest of the lines are taken from here.
The reason I asked was the " language is both poorly translated and pronounced" part, because it seems that the voice actor is not a native speaker at all. The same case is with Lady Six Sky, so it seems that whoever does the casting and translation in Mexico doesn't bother with it much. You can see the discussion here.
Mind you, it's possibly my analysis (my knowledge is theoretical and relatively poor, so it's extra hard to decipher the oral language!) is entirely wrong, but if the grammar that I deciphered from the speech is what was meant, then yes both the pronounciation and grammar are off.
Please re-watch the video, the information on that page is correct, please don't change it. The only thing that is dubious right now is whether the plantation +2 major bonus is stackable, so we are leaving it as the tooltip says.
Also, if a future release has something in doubt, please don't leave "presumably" there, just leave it out, we will fill it in when things are clear. Thanks
Yes, you see I thought that Maize was a plantation resource rather than a farm one and hadn't seen the explicit mention of adjacencies in the announcement. My bad (although to be fair, the video doesn't actually state that all other usual adjacencies for the campus are invalid).
