Didn't mean to be rude with the edit reverts I just did; I'm just letting you know about the new standardized format because I didn't know until today either. Check my message wall for Mithril Wyrm chewing me out about the same topic; he added a link to the discussion post where this change was agreed on in that message.
Hey, thanks for creating the Steam achievements in Civ6 page! I've been meaning to do that, but a little differently. With Beyond Earth I saved the achievements into a Lua data file, so that it's easy to include them into articles. We had the inclusion system in here with Civ5 too, but it was done with templates only and was really prone to error.
So I'd like to ask if you would like to copy the achievement descriptions into here: Module:Data/Civ6/Achievements. The description should be in the condition="" attribute, like condition="Have three Settlers.",. You can look at Module:Data/CivBE/Base/Achievements for an example. And don't worry about breaking anything, that's not possible since the Civ6 achievements aren't used from that module yet. :)
Also, if you'd rather play the game than copy those descriptions, I understand, and I can do that myself later. ;) But I could use everybody's help trying to figure out those pop-culture references, i.e. those pieces of trivia of where those achievements got their names. (Again see the CivBE page for examples.)
Finally, when I'm done with the Lua programming, the achievement page should look something like this: Steam achievements in CivBE. Notice that all the achievement images have already been uploaded, they are called [[File:Steam achievement XXXXX (Civ6).png]], where XXX is the complete name of the achievement. Those will be automagically included in the page too, when it's finished.<ac_metadata title="Steam achievements"> </ac_metadata>
I went ahead and copied your descriptions into the Lua module and replaced the page with the achivement templates! It was a breeze to do a couple of search-and-replace operations, thanks for formatting the page so cleanly. :)
Hey there, as you can see we've just enabled Message walls, which we hope will work better in the upcoming Civ6 launch. Old messages are available by clicking the link at the bottom of this page.
Now available is also the Discussion module which I encourage you to check out and contribute to, so its a bit populated leading up to the redesign of the wiki and the launch of the discussion feature on the mobile app. If it works well it could be our main forum of discussion!
