  • Hey there! I've been looking at Chinese (Civ6) and noticing how exhaustively detailed the Strategy section is in comparison to those for the other civs, thanks almost entirely to you. Its extreme length may make it a little intimidating to other people who want to edit the page, so I'm going to propose we move it to a subpage that we link from the main page's Strategy section - the title could be something like "Chinese (Civ6)/Strategy guide by ThinkingNut" (not unlike the existing Alpha Centauri strategy guide by Dream Focus). This way, all the hard work and personal observations you've put into the page will still be available for people to read, and other Civ6 players who have their own strategies for using China (or want to write a general overview) won't look at the page and feel like there's nothing they can possibly add. You'd also be free to continue using "I" if you make further edits to the subpage, which is something we generally try to avoid on this wiki.

Let me know what you think of this idea.

    • Hi there, Mythril,

      I like! Please go ahead.

My only caveats are that we make the title of the subpage "In-Depth Chinese Strategy guide by ThinkingNut," and that the link should be very accessible and at the beginning of the Strategy section - not a small, obscure footnote at the end of the page. If that's ok with you, I'm more than happy with your proposal.

    • That sounds entirely reasonable. Your subpage is ready, and I included a for template that links to it in the Strategy section of the main page. Enjoy! :)

    • Awesome, thanks. As long as my two conditions remain in place with future changes to the main China page, we're good. :D

  • Not sure if you knew about this, but you can add textual links to specific Great Person articles along with a Great Person points icon by typing the name of the Great Person and a 6 between double curly braces. For example, typing {{Scientist6}} will render the Great Scientist points icon and a link to the Great Scientist (Civ6) article (whereas {{ScientistIcon6}} and other templates you've used in some of your edits render only the icon).

  • Hi, maybe you already noticed, but the Contents section is generated automatically. Any heading you create is entered into the contents when the page is rendered.

    • Hi Exitwound 45,

Oh great!  Thank you for letting me know.

      Yours sincerely,

    • I like to pitch in when I can, particularly when I'm actively playing a game. Right now I'm diving into CIV VI as a break from Transport Fever

New to this wiki but I've done a lot of work on other wikis.

I'm finding a lot of topics that I search on not showing up when I search for them. Do these things need to be listed as categories in order to show up in the search? Or do they each need their own pages? (Not optimal) or...?   For example I was searching for Earth Godess, yes, it's listed under pantheons but it would be great if one could search on the various pantheon names like one can on the various leaders. I also tried a search on Theming Bonus with no joy. I did find the info I needed on the Art Museum page but still, these things should show up in a search. They do on other wikis.

If it's any help, I created pages for all the pantheons. However, they still need sections for strategies, and the images still need transparency.
