Militaristic is a civilization trait in Civilization III.
Detailed Trait info[]
- Double promotion chance for ground units, roughly speaking this means Conscripts fighting other civilizations will now always be promoted after combat (and be promoted half of the time vs combat with barbarians). This will also mean the civilization has a greater chance to generate a great military leader sooner to build armies with.
- All city improvements marked with 'Militaristic' flag has their production costs in shields halved, so are built at double speed/half price. These generally include all buildings that produce veteran units or related to city defense. Buildings like Barracks and Harbor to Town Walls and Coastal Fortress.
- Militaristic civilizations start the game with Warrior Code.
The following civilizations are militaristic:
- Austrian (According to the Civilopedia entry)
