Game Info[]

Religious building. Can only be purchased with Faith Faith in cities following a religion with the Mosques belief.

Strategy[]

Mosques are considered the most effective religious buildings at generating Faith Faith. They boost more Faith Faith than all other religious buildings, at the expense of a lower Happiness Happiness bonus.

Note that you can only purchase a Mosque in one of your own cities which has your religion as its majority religion (i.e., has your religious symbol to the right of its name).

Civilopedia entry[]

The mosque serves as the traditional place of worship for the followers of Islam. The largest mosque in the world, the Masjid al-Haram was built in the city of Mecca, in Saudi Arabia, around 638 AD. Also known as the Grand Mosque, the Masjid al-Haram encompasses the holy site of the Kaaba, the most sacred of all locations in the Islamic religion.
