A dormant volcano found in Eastern Turkey, Mount Ararat features the highest peak in Turkey at 16,854 ft (5,137m). Said to be the final resting place of Noah's Ark after the biblical great flood, Mount Ararat is also home to the gods of Armenian mythology, akin to Mount Olympus in Greek mythology.
