Nobel Prize Competitions are scored competitions available when Sweden is present in the game.
Initiation Conditions[]
Starting in the Industrial Era, one of the 3 Nobel Prize competitions is randomly selected in regular World Congress sessions as a proposal. If passed, the selected competition begins when the World Congress session ends and expires in 30 turns.
Nobel Peace Prize[]

Scoring Criteria[]
1 point for each point of Diplomatic Favor gained during the competition, including those gained from liberating city-states and Carbon Recapture city projects.
Rewards[]
- Gold Tier (highest score): 1 Diplomatic Victory point, 1 Great Musician, 1 Great Scientist.
- Silver Tier (top 25% of scores): 1 Great Engineer, 1 Great Artist.
- Bronze Tier (next top 25% of scores): 1 Great Artist.
Civilizations that finish with the highest score will receive both Gold Tier and Silver Tier prizes.
Great Persons are awarded only if they are still available.

1 point for each Great Scientist, Great Engineer, or Great Merchant point earned.

- Gold Tier (highest score):
- 1 Technology Boost,
- Increases the accumulation of resources in cities with a University by 1.
- Silver Tier (top 25% of scores):
- 1 Technology Boost,
- Increases the accumulation of resources in cities with a Research Lab by 1.
- Bronze Tier (next top 25% of scores): 1 Technology Boost.
Civilizations that finish with the highest score will receive both Gold Tier and Silver Tier prizes.

1 point for each Great Writer, Great Artist, or Great Musician point earned.

- Gold Tier (highest score):
- +50 Album Sales for Rock Bands,
- Rock Bands are 20% cheaper to purchase.
- Silver Tier (top 25% of scores): +75 Album Sales for Rock Bands.
- Bronze Tier (next top 25% of scores): +25 Album Sales for Rock Bands.
Civilizations that finish with the highest score will receive both Gold Tier and Silver Tier prizes.
Notes[]
- Nobel Prize competitions will no longer show up if Sweden gets eliminated from the game.
- Nobel Prize in Literature and Nobel Prize in Physics, unlike other Scored Competitions, do not grant a Diplomatic Victory point to the winner. Nobel Peace Prize, however, still does.
