The Nubia Civilization & Scenario Pack is DLC for Civilization VI released on July 27, 2017. It is now available to purchase on various digital game distributors including Steam.

Steam Description

Amanitore leads Nubia in Sid Meier’s Civilization VI! Nubia’s ranged units are strong, easy to build and quick promote, and they can use their unique Nubian Pyramid improvement to boost the construction and yield of Districts. If you want to build a strong foundation early in the game for success, then Nubia is the right civ for you.

Includes the Nubian Civilization with Amanitore, the Pitati Archer unique unit, Nubian Pyramid unique improvement, and the new Jebel Barkal Wonder.

• Civ Unique Ability: Nubia gets bonus production towards Ranged units, and all Ranged units gain combat experience faster. Mines provide extra production over strategic resources, and extra gold over luxury resources.
• Leader Unique Ability: Amanitore gives Nubia bonus production towards building Districts, which can be boosted further if there is a Nubian Pyramid adjacent to the City Center.
• Unique Unit: The Pitati Archer replaces the Ancient Era Archer. It is stronger and faster than the ancient Archer and upgrades to Crossbowman.
• Unique Infrastructure: The Nubian Pyramid can be built on Desert, Desert Hills, or Floodplains, and provides Faith, as well as additional yields based on the adjacent District, or Food for the City Center.

New “Gifts of the Nile” Scenario:

• Choose Nubia or Egypt as you compete against the other civ to be the first to complete 7 Temples to Amun in this scenario set along the banks of the great Nile River.
• Includes unique rules and gameplay, and the Nile River is navigable by Naval units.
• 125 Turn limit.

New Jebel Barkal Wonder:

• This Wonder provides extra Faith to all nearby Cities, and must be built on Desert Hills.

New achievements

The following new Steam achievements were introduced in this DLC:

Claim the Fourth Cataract Playing as Egypt in a regular game, conquer the original Nubian capital within 10 turns of declaring a formal war on Nubia Cataracts are physical barriers in at some points in the river Nile. The fourth one is where Nubia was generally situated.

From Med to Red to the Land of the Dead Playing Gifts of the Nile as Egypt, conquer Irem and Punt 'Med' is the Mediterranean Sea, 'Red' implies the Red Sea (where Punt is), and the 'Land of the Dead' is a reference to Irem's status as a mythical lost city.

gg nub Win a regular game as Amanitore A pun on 'noob' as this is a common expression in online gaming communities meaning 'good game newbie' (mostly used sarcastically).

More Wind for the Wind God Win Gifts of the Nile on any difficulty. A reference to the warcry 'Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne' from Warhammer 40K.

Overclocked Conviction After building the Jebel Barkal wonder, earn 28 Faith per turn on its tile. 'Overclocking' is a way in which computer hardware is tweaked to perform faster. In this context, 'conviction' is in regards to the faith yield of the wonder and 'overclocking' is the big boost from it.

Pyramid Scheme As Nubia, earn six different adjacency bonuses on a Nubian Pyramid A pun on an actual marketing strategy with the same name where people are being recruited based on promises rather than investments.

Sea of the Bow Playing Gifts of the Nile as Nubia, found a coastal city on the Mediterranean Sea. Alluding to the bordering region between Egypt and Nubia called 'Land of the Bow.'

That's Some Good Kerma Playing Gifts of the Nile as Nubia, win on Deity difficulty. A pun on 'good karma', a belief based on the idea that doing good deeds will reward you with good fortune in the future.

The 25th Dynasty Playing as Nubia, liberate the original Egyptian capital in a liberation war with the capital's conqueror. The 25th dynasty of Egypt was in fact Nubian in origin after taking over from various foreign rulers in Egypt.

Total A-Nile-hilation Playing Gifts of the Nile as Egypt, win on Deity difficulty. A pun on the word 'annihilation', in itself a reference to the 1997 RTS game Total Annihilation.
