Wildcard slot.

Although it isn't available until the last two eras of the game, Popular Front is indispensable for players who are aiming for a Diplomatic Victory. Leaders whose leader abilities encourage them to form 
Alliances or facilitate becoming Suzerain of city-states (such as Cleopatra, Gilgamesh, Pericles, Poundmaker, Tamar, and Rough Rider Teddy) will reap particularly great benefits from it, especially if they manage to build Kilwa Kisiwani and the Országház as well. Mansa Musa, Wilhelmina, the Portuguese, and the Poles also benefit from Popular Front thanks to their unique abilities and Sukiennice, which enhance the yields of international 
Trade Routes.
