The Recycling Plant decreases the pollution in a city, turning garbage back into useful consumer products. The Recycling Plant also helps reduce worldwide pollution.

Waste has always been a problem in human societies, but the population growth of the 20th century compounded this problem enormously. To meet this challenge, governments began programs to reduce the flow of waste products into landfills and incinerators. Citizens were paid to recycle products such as glass, plastic, or aluminum, and municipalities opened Recycling Plants to sort out any recyclable materials thrown away by their citizens.
