Roads and railroads are a group of tile improvements in the Civilization and Call to Power games. They assist with overland movement by allowing units to traverse tiles at a reduced cost and/or without being impeded by terrain.
In some games, units cannot use roads and railroads in the territory of a civilization with which their owner is at war.
