Rum factories are upgraded versions of distilleries in Sid Meier's Colonization. A rum factory dramatically increases the efficiency of operations, and thus produces more rum per unit of sugar. Your Continental Congress must contain Adam Smith and the population of the colony must be at least 8 to begin construction of this facility.

There exists a bug where no limit is placed on the number of workers for this building.
