The Sangdaedeung is an Antiquity Age Unique Civilian Unit of the Silla civilization in Civilization VII. It replaces the Merchant.

  • When creating a Trade Route receive +5 Gold based on the relationship level (does not apply to City-States and effect scales with game speed).
• Actions:
  • Build Road to Settlement
  • Make Trade Route: Grants an additional 5 Gold based on the relationship level (does not apply to City-States and effect scales with game speed)

The Sangdaedeung has no research requirement as they are unlocked at the start of the Age.

In Silla, the office of sangdaedeung was one of the highest ranks outside of the actual monarchy, and the highest of the jingol ranks (at least until the throne was opened to jingol). This official presided over the Hwabaek Council, and passed decisions on major matters affecting the kingdom.
