Scouts are unarmed, non-combat units with two movement points. They are good at exploring the countryside. Only Expansionist civilizations can build Scouts.

The Inca, instead build their unique unit Chasqui Scout which unlike the Scout can defend and attack in addition to suffering no penalties when moving through hills and mountains.
