The Stealth Bomber is a unit in Civilization: Call to Power.
Summary[]
Innovations in aircraft design eventually led to the Stealth Bomber. The Bomber can evade detection by radar. Once spotted, it is quite vulnerable. Its one failing is that it cannot attack other aircraft, but it can carry two Nukes into the enemy's heartland.
Great Library entry[]
Developed in the 1980's and successfully tested during the Gulf War, the Stealth Bomber marked the second entrance of stealth technology in the U.S. Air Force. The B-2 Spirit bomber combined composite materials and coating to cloak it from radar. The B-2 had intercontinental range and carried both nuclear and conventional armament. The stealth, range and armament made the B-2 a deadly weapon, but each cost $1.3 billion to produce.
