Strength (sometimes called Combat Strength) is a rough measurement of the fighting prowess of a unit in the Civilization games.

Prior to Civilization IV, Strength was divided into "Attack" and "Defense." Civilization V introduced different types of Strength for melee and ranged attacks, and Civilization VI introduced three new types of Strength.
