Talk: Woods (Civ6)

I've been researching Appeal mechanics lately and I stumbled upon the fact that apparently the +2 Appeal bonus for Old-grown woods doesn't work. That is, Woods continue to provide a +1 bonus regardless of wether they're old- or new-grown. Could please anyone confirm this, refute it, or offer a posible explanation? Thanks!
