Genghis Khan (c. 1162 – 18 August 1227), born Temüjin, was the first Great Khan of the Mongols, uniting the nomadic tribes of the Mongolian steppes under his rule and founding the Mongolian Empire, which after his death became the largest contiguous land empire in history. He leads the Mongols in Civilization III: Play the World.

- His appearance is noticeably distinct from most depictions of him, whether in the Civilization franchise or otherwise, as he is shown to posses several scars, as well as missing teeth.
