Theravada Buddhism is the Khmer religion from the Path to Nirvana scenario in Civilization VI. It consists of the following beliefs:
- Stone Circles: +2
Faith and +2 Production from Quarries. - Dāna: Granaries each provide +3 Faith. +1 Amenity to each City.
- Wat: Allows construction of Wats (+3 Faith, +1 Housing). Unlocked with Printing.
- World Church: +1 Culture for every 5 followers of this Religion in other civilizations.

Theravada, or "Way of the Elders" is a branch of Buddhism with the Pali Canon (Buddhism's oldest and most complete corpus of scripture) as its doctrinal core, and which claims descent through the very first community of Buddhist monks. It is most prevalent in Southeast Asia, where it is often the predominant form of worship.

- The constellation that represents Theravada Buddhism is a simplified version of the Praying Buddha, a symbol common to all schools of Buddhism but especially prevalent among Theravada Buddhist statues.
- Dāna, one of Theravada Buddhism's beliefs, refers to a ritual practiced by many Indian religions that focuses on giving away one's personal possessions in order to reach enlightenment.
