Back to Civilization VI
Hexagonal tiles are the basic quantum of location in Civilization VI. All units, cities, Districts, improvements, and wonders are located on a particular tile.
Every tile is characterized by its base terrain with possible features. All land tiles also have an Appeal rating. Water tiles only have an Appeal rating if they have a Natural Wonder. Tiles are assigned to particular continents during map generation for geographical organization. The usage of lenses on the UI allows players to view more detailed information on tiles.
