Back to Legacy Path (Civ7)

Treasure Fleet is the Economic Legacy Path of the Exploration Age in Civilization VII and its expansions. To complete it, you must gain 30 Treasure Fleet Points from returning Distant Land Treasures.

Progression[]

Before you can start gaining points towards the Legacy Path, you must first improve at least one Treasure Resource Resource within a Settlement Settlement you own in distant lands. Once this condition is met, a Treasure Convoy will spawn every 10 turns for each improved Treasure resource.

Quest # Objectives Missions
1 Distant Lands are any lands inaccessible in the Antiquity, typically separated by Deep Ocean. It can be dangerous to traverse the oceans, but there are new Resource Resources and people beyond the horizon. Create a Settlement Settlement in Distant Lands
2 Distant Lands have Treasure Resource Resources that can be differentiated from similar looking resources in Homelands by a small wave image at the bottom of their icon. After enough time has passed a Treasure Convoy will be loaded to take these Resources to your Homelands. Improve: Treasure Resources 0/5

Spawn: Treasure Convoy

3 Now that you have a Treasure Convoy full of valuable Treasure Resource Resources, you must safely escort it to a Homeland Settlement Settlement. When you unload the convoy, you will receive 1 Treasure Fleet Point and +100 Gold Gold for each Treasure Resource assigned to the Settlement Settlement from which the convoy originated. Strategy[]

There are several tips and tricks to help you secure a lead on the Economic Legacy Path:

  • Researching Shipbuilding prevents your naval units from taking damage when starting their turn on Open Ocean tiles.
  • While researching Cartography, use a Scout or naval unit to explore the coastline. This allows you to locate a crossing with minimal Deep Ocean tiles, reducing the damage and healing downtime for your Settlers. Use the time before training your first Settler to fully scout the new continent and secure the most advantageous coastal location before your rivals.
  • HP HP loss is a major concern when traversing ocean tiles. Plan routes carefully and estimate damage to avoid losing units en route.
  • Once you establish a Distant Lands Settlement Settlement, invest Gold Gold to upgrade it quickly. The goal is to reach a point where you can train additional Settlers locally, avoiding repeated ocean crossings.
  • Protect your Treasure Convoys. Keep naval escorts nearby to guard against interception — or consider intercepting rival convoys yourself.

With these tips, you'll be well-positioned to complete the Economic Legacy Path reliably and ahead of the competition.
