Strategy[]
Late in the game, Turtles improved with Fishing Boats will provide +2 Food and +1 Gold in addition to the yields of the Reefs in which they are found. They also provide a small bonus to Science, and are one of the few resources that do so.
Civilopedia entry[]
Because of the difficulty of capturing turtles and preparing their meat, they've historically been associated with the elites in societies, leading to overhunting. However, in recent years, legal protections for wild turtles and farming operations have been put into place to preserve these animals.
