Women's Suffrage is an Industrial-era happiness Wonder in Civilization II, available with the Industrialization advance. It provides its controller with a Police Station in every city.
Strategy[]
Women's Suffrage is only practically relevant to Republican and Democratic governments. The controller's cities incur one less war-weary citizen per supported military unit in the field: under Democracy, unhappiness is halved, while under Republic, it is eliminated entirely.
While Women's Suffrage does not provide bonuses to other governments beyond game score, it may be strategic to acquire simply to deny rival civilizations its benefit: computer players will opt to adopt Democracy in the late game.

After decades of struggle, women in the United States won the right to vote in 1920 with the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The achievement of women's suffrage was accelerated by the excellent record of women working in jobs traditionally held by men during World War I. Full voting rights were granted to women in Great Britain in 1928. Since that time, women have gained the right to vote in most countries in the developed world.
