Xerxes (The Achaemenid) Persona key art
The Xerxes (The Achaemenid) Persona is DLC for Civilization VII that was released on February 11, 2025, simultaneously with the initial game release. This DLC is included in the Deluxe Content Pack and adds Xerxes, the Achaemenid leader persona.
The DLC was initially available only for players that bought the Deluxe or Founders edition, but it is now available to buy for every player.

Enjoy an alternate persona for the Civilization VII base game leader Xerxes with his Achaemenid Persona!* This persona includes a unique outfit and background for Xerxes, plus a new Unique Ability and Agenda that reflect a different side of his personality!
Note that if you already own Civilization VII Deluxe Edition or Founders Edition, then you already own this content.
Xerxes, The Achaemenid - Unique Ability
Silk Road: Increased Trade Route limit with all other leaders. Creating a Trade Route or Road with a Merchant provides Culture and Gold per Age. Increased Culture and Gold per Age on Unique Buildings and Unique Improvements.
Xerxes, The Achaemenid - Agenda
Lord of Coin: Decrease Relationship by a Medium Amount if player has a greater or equal number of Trade Routes compared to Xerxes. Increase Relationship by a Small Amount if player has fewer Trade Routes than Xerxes.
*This leader persona is now available as a separate purchase for Sid Meier's Civilization VII Standard Edition owners (base game required). If you own Sid Meier's Civilization VII Deluxe or Founders Edition, then you already own this content.
